Introducing Hunter As a Horse
Hunter As a Horse is a band like no other. Their sound is a comfortable blend of folk, disco, and pop with dark cinematic leanings, resulting in a distinctly unique sound that captures the imagination.
The band consists of Paul Gala on synths and machines and Mia vanWyk on vocals and guitar. Their music has secured huge placements in international adverts, US TV shows on Netflix, and recently, the ‘Wander Darkly’ film trailer starring Sienna Miller and Diego Luna.
After a two-year hiatus, Hunter As a Horse is set to return with their fourth EP release, ‘The Lost Tapes EP,’ dropping in April 2023. The EP draws inspiration from years of isolation in the Tuscan mountains and a rediscovery of the band’s roots in the dry, desolate landscape of the Karoo in South Africa.

Opulous is thrilled to announce that our upcoming MFT drop with Hunter As a Horse will include 50% of their entire catalog, featuring their most renowned track “The Passenger,” as well as 50% of their upcoming ‘Lost Tapes EP.’ The EP is set for release in Q2 2023 and is highly anticipated, featuring brand-new unreleased tracks.
